We’ve all met one.

The person who could help… but won’t.

Not because they can’t. Not because it would cause a problem. But because somewhere, buried deep inside a rulebook nobody else has read, it says they don’t have to.

Jobsworth is a satirical look at rules, authority and the strange little bit of power people sometimes find in simply saying “no.”

Common sense says yes.
The rulebook says maybe.
The Jobsworth says absolutely fucking not.

But beneath the humour is something bigger.

We build systems to create order, then sometimes become so obsessed with following them that we forget why they existed in the first place. Humanity gets replaced by procedure. Initiative disappears. And doing the right thing becomes less important than doing exactly what you’ve been told.

Created as a one-of-one Underground Art original, Jobsworth celebrates the beautifully frustrating characters who remind us that sometimes the biggest obstacle standing between you and a simple solution…
